Illustrated World, Today: TINOCO LUIS! Distinguished Characters

Martina and Golafre Today we have a very special guest. All children in Catalunya with 5 years or more kids know one of his creations ... THE LUA! Since then Lua is special, a number that is different both for their excellent teaching, horny as scripts for their gentle illustrations. Know the father of the sleeper Lua ... TINOCO LUIS!

Name: Luis Tinoco
Date and place of birth: Once upon a time in Barcelona ...
Web: http://www.luistinoco.com/

M & G: "Artistic studies or self?
Luis: studied graphic design and draw the Llotja has accompanied me since childhood, has always been a hobby for me. I remember my mother drawing and noticing as I did.

M & G: What was your first job as an illustrator?
Luis: While working as art director in advertising, a publisher primarily aimed at children, I commissioned a project to Renault. But maybe the project "The Lua i the sermon" was the one who made me dedicate myself professionally to raise the figure.

M & G: How did draft Lua?
Luis: Silvia Gonzalez Laa, brilliant writer and best friend, wrote a series of stories dedicated to his daughter, Lua, two at the time, and started illustrate them as soon as I taught them. These stories were leaked to a producer who wanted a character for a cartoon series with a didactic purpose and was funded by the Departament de Medi Ambient de la Generalitat. Fell in love with the character and his world, and we commissioned the development of the series.

M & G: Does your favorite work you have done so far?
Luis: I have no one particular favorite, but maybe the story collection "Make it happen" that illustrated for Attitudes (the Corporate Social Responsibility Program for Audi) has an important role. It was of 4 children's stories written by Ray Loriga, Elvira Lindo, Soledad Puértolas and Suso de Toro. Authors illustrate their size was a luxury.

M & G: Do you have a favorite technique?
Luis: I use various techniques depending on the outcome to look in each picture. The collage of textures and watercolors are two of my favorites.

M & G: What you working on now?
Luis: continue to illustrate for young audiences in a variety of publishers, but illustration for print and advertising spend most of my time.

M & G: For what publications have illustrated?
Luis: To: Glamour - Spain, Glamour - Germany, Flare - Canada, Top Magazine-UK, Mia or Clara, El Pais and other

M & G: illustrator What would you highlight?
Luis: Like many illustrators work but if I had to choose one would certainly René Gruau.

Thank
Luis for your time and create, along with Silvia, Lua our idol!
