Nothing like a good time to meet illustrators posh much better! :-) This week we needed a good dose of enlightenment and have gone directly to seek a World Heavyweight Illustrated. M & G: "or self-taught art studies? Marta
: studied graphic design and creative illustration graduate from the School of Art and Design Eina (Barcelona). After working as a graphic designer for 5 years, needed a change ... And the "now or never" won:) I went to England where I completed a course of children's book illustration at Cambridge School of Art. For me it was a very difficult decision, but right now could not be happier. I learned a lot and has been the final push he needed to devote myself to the artwork.

Marta: I love to dance! Since childhood I went to school and is something that's going great for unwinding.

Magazine Rakatán [Mirolo]

Mirolo sent us this copy of a magazine called Rakatán, published in the sixties by the Editorial Zig-Zag. In this case it is the number 3, the cover is the work of artist Luis Cerna. Signature shown in the display of the year drew this picture: 1965.

Editions Du Lombard last year published the first three volumes of the edition of Bernard Prince. It is a hardback edition on glossy paper and very nice. The colors are spectacular and well both volumes bring an introduction where data and photographs are the creators, it tells about the beginning of the series, etc.

I ordered from Amazon the first two volumes and I arrived yesterday. In each five stories originate. "The Genenal Satan", "Thunder on Coronado", "The border from hell", "Adventure in Manhattan" and "The burning oasis", are those of the first volume, "The law of the hurricane," "The Hell of convicted, "" The Green Flame of the Conqueror "," Guerrilla for a ghost "and" The breath of Moloch ", the second volume. So each has about 250 pages and are truly spectacular. I never had an album of Prince Bernard but only those who left in Mampato, and being one of my favorite series, I could not resist the temptation to take it into this edition for fans. : Both. I studied graphic design, a four-year career. Then I had a professor of illustration and one of the exercises we raised was a series of illustrations of poems by Gloria Fuertes. He loved what I did and I suggested that undertake large-scale, I prepare a book. And I did not follow his advice. Mirolo sent us this rare magazine editaday Pepo drawn by the cartoonist and creator of Condorito. It's called "Don Rodrigo", and its title refers to the armor on the cover.
do not know where I remember having seen this character. I think Pepo published it in the old magazine " Penguin "or any of those.

not know how many numbers are published in this magazine, but its first issue is August 1991. And while on the cover looks like the old logo Editor's Pinsel, the publisher of this magazine is actually the Editorial Andina.
